Driving after your procedure
No driving for 48 hours after any procedure except loop recorder insertion. Arrange for someone to drive you home after ablation, Watchman, or a pacemaker or defibrillator implant.
Loop recorder exception: No sedation is given for loop recorder insertion, so you may drive immediately afterward.
Follow any longer driving restriction your doctor has given you for fainting, a heart rhythm problem, or another medical reason.
